At Transition Support we are committed to protecting your privacy. We use the information we collect about you to process orders and to provide a better service. 

Controllers of personal information

Any personal information provided to Transition Support is controlled by Transition Support at  our offices in Mitcheldean UK and at no other location.

What information do we collect? How do we use it?

  • When you order, we need to know your name, e-mail address, delivery address, credit or debit card number and the card's expiry date. This allows us to process and fulfil your orders and to notify you of the status of your order.

  • We also ask for your telephone number which enables us to contact you urgently if there is a problem with your order. For some international deliveries this number may be given to our couriers.

  • When you request information, we need to know your name, organization, location and e-mail address. This allows us to provide a considered response to your request. We also ask for your telephone and fax numbers if there is a problem sending an e-mail to you.

  • We may forward your information request to authorized associates if we are unable to provide  a full response but will indicate who this person is in our reply to you so that you may expect a subsequent contact.

  • We may also use the information we collect to occasionally notify you about important functionality changes to the Web site, new publications and services  we think you'll find valuable. If you would rather not receive this information, you may opt out by inserting 'Remove' in the subject line of the reply e-mail.

How does Transition Support protect customer information?

When you place orders we offer the use of a secure server. The secure server software (SSL) provides 128bit  encryption of all information you input before it is sent to us. Furthermore, as required by the UK Data Protection Legislation, we follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information which you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access.

When you use our secure server to complete an order on-line and print the order for subsequent transmission to us by fax, the input data is deleted from the form when you return to the Book Store and is not transmitted.

What about "cookies"?

We do not currently send 'cookies' to your computer.

Will Transition Support disclose the information it collects to outside parties?

Transition Support does not sell, trade or rent your personal information or statistics about our customers to others nor do other organizations have access to this information except as necessary in processing credit card payments and the delivery of merchandise.

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances we disclose it.
